The mainly concern pipes and oil & gas production, but are also planned: logistics and warehouse, plastic packaging, mineral fertilizers, pharmaceuticals etc.

3. The city of Aktau and the Mangistau region

Mangystau region is a land of ancient civilization, an archeological open-air reserve. Economical growth of the region was entailed by the fact that in 1950s geologists found rich deposits of uranium, oil, gas and a unique geological diversity of mineral resources. Today the region is one of the most prosperous in Kazakhstan, with a population growing with immigration.

Originally planned as a camp for the workers of the oil industry, Aktau, “Pearl of the Caspian sea”, is the second largest city in western Kazakhstan, the country's main seaport on the Caspian Sea and the capital of Mangystau Region. Aktau is also a coastal city with all prerequisites to become a transportation and logistics hub in Eurasian system of commodity and technology exchange. Aktau could be considered as the Western Gate of Kazakhstan, an important connecting link at the crossing of TRACECA and North-South transportation corridors. The city attracted the biggest players of the oil service industry such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Tenaris, Arcelor Mittal… The region’s share of the country’s GDP reached 5.5% in 2013.

Today on SEZ registered 29 participants. The aggregate amount invested and utilized investments of 25 billion tenge, the number of permanent jobs created up bolee1 thousand people, the production volume of output for the entire period is about 203 billion tenge.

Documents submitted by the applicant to carry out activities as a member of a special economic zone and its inclusion in a single register of members of the special economic zone:

1) profile of the applicant in the form approved by the authority;
2) a notarized copy of the certificate of state registration (re-registration) of a legal entity;
3) a notarized copy of the identity document of the first head of the applicant;
4) a notarized copy of the taxpayer - to January 1, 2012 or a notarized copy of the document with an identification number - from 1 January 2012;
5) a notarized copy of the constitution of the legal entity;
6) a notarized copy of the decision of the supreme body of the legal entity operating on the territory of the special economic zone;
7) A copy of the financial statements of the last reporting date, signed by the head of the applicant or his deputy, as well as the chief accountant (accountant);
8) a feasibility study of the project that meets the requirements established by the authority; (see application requirements)
9) Check the servicing bank on movement of money in the bank accounts of the applicant (the absence of catalogs) and credit report ofcredit bureau that contains information about full or partial information available on the credit history;
10) A certificate from the tax authority at the place of registration of the presence or absence of taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget.
If a legal entity at the time of filing is not a resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is not registered as a taxpayer the Republic of Kazakhstan, it seems a copy of a certificate of absence of state registration as a taxpayer in the tax authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Foreign legal entities are legalized documents referred to in subparagraphs 2), 5) and 6) of this paragraph, legalized extract from the commercial register or other legalized document certifying that the foreign entity is a legal entity under the laws of a foreign country, with a notarized translation into Kazakh and Russian languages. (the main company to be disposed of abroad, the best option to open a new organization on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan or subsidiary and apply as a resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan)
11) The applicant shall submit an application to operate as a member of the SEZ should have the cash, other assets, not withdrawn from circulation in the amount corresponding to the feasibility study (providing help with a bank or other authority on the availability of funds or delivery financial support in the amount of the feasibility study).
